HIGH SCHOOL
Played four years on the varsity for the Saxons and head coach Tyler Nazarian… Played right side and setter at North Torrance… Named Second Team All-Pioneer League as a sophomore and junior… Earned First-Team All Pioneer-League as a senior.
PERSONAL
Born in Whittier, Calif… Middle name is Mieko… Parents are Randy and Sherry Morimoto… Has two sisters; Ashley and Shelby… Will become the third Morimoto sister to play for ECC. Ashley played for the Warriors from 2012-14 and Shelby from 2014-15… Has done charity work with the DMI Foundation (2010-present), the F.O.R. Organization (2012-present) and with Edison Elementary Tutoring (2016-17)… Models her game after her family; the intensity of Ashley, technicality of Shelby, heart of her father and humor of her mother… Chose ECC to follow in her sisters’ footsteps and continue their family’s legacy with ECC volleyball… Grew her hair out from 8th grade through her senior year of high school to honor her friend Dale, who passed away from leukemia. Cut the hair and donated to the Locks of Love Foundation… Favorites include: Micah Christenson (Volleyball Player), Los Angeles Kings (Sports Team), Pat Tillman (Athlete).
