Women’s Soccer Season Ends at L.A. Pierce

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. --- El Camino College saw its season come to an end on Wednesday night after a 2-1 loss at L.A. Pierce in the first round of the 3C2A Southern California Women's Soccer Regionals.

Sophia Hudson scored for the Warriors with Jordan Stemberga making two saves on the night.

The Warriors fell behind to the host Brahmas after Brenda Medina drove in a header off a corner kick as the first half was winding down. Medina would then punch in a penalty kick in the 56th minute to put the Warriors in a 2-0 hole.

It stayed that way until the 80th minute when Sophia Hudson scored for ECC to trim the deficit to one. The Warriors had 10 minutes to get that second goal back and send the match into extra time but could not find the equalizer.

The Warriors' season ends with a 9-8-5 overall record.
