Bio
Carter won the state championship in the long jump in 1974 and set the ECC record in the event with a mark of 25 feet, 6 inches which still stands to this day. He also competed in the high jump and the triple jump along with the 100-meters. Carter would go on to transfer to San Jose State where he competed for two years. He also qualified for the 1976 Olympic Trials in the long jump.
