Bio

Vic Buttler was an All-American and All-Southern California selection as a member of the Warriors baseball team. He was drafted in the 14th round of the 2000 MLB June Amateur Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates and played eight years in the minor leagues. 
 
Buttler was in the Pirates organization for eight seasons and played in 790 games in the Minors. He posted a .278 batting average and had a .338 on-base percentage in 3,170 plate appearances. Buttler recorded 787 hits in his professional career. He played for the Pirates’ Single-A, Double-A, and Triple-A affiliates throughout his eight years in the Pittsburgh organization. 
 
In 2020, Buttler took over as the head coach of the Cerritos College baseball team. Prior to that, Buttler was the head coach for the baseball team at his alma mater, Westchester High School, a job he held since 2016.
