Cross Country Competes at San Diego Mesa Invitational

The Warriors competed at the San Diego Mesa Cross Country Invite College Open over the weekend at NTC Park in San Diego.  Both the women and the men's team came in tenth place in the race. Mt. Sac won both the women and the men's race.

Megan Wright led the Warrior women and came in 59th place with a time of 24:12.  Haidee Lopez (62nd/24:29) and Raina Gomaa 63rd/24:37) were close behind her. Cora Hesson came in 72nd place with a time of 25:16 and Tea Takaoka rounded out the top 5 for the Warriors by coming in 92nd place with a time of 27:26.

Anthony Gil led the Warrior's mens team and came in 23rd place with a time of 21:26.  Arend Verfaille (53rd/22:19) and Stephen Hansen (54th/22;19) were the second and third finishers for the men. Shota Shimizu  (172nd/26:38) and Anthony Fisher (185th/27:57) rounded out the top 5 finishers for the Warriors.

The Warriors will next compete at the Mt. Sac Invitational on Friday, October 15th.
