Cross Country Earns Early Recognition in First Rankings of Season

The El Camino College Cross Country squads got early nods in the first rankings of the season released on Monday.

The Warriors men are currently ranked No. 6 in Southern California while the women are currently ranked 13th after the first meet of the season. Mount San Antonio currently holds the top spot in both the men's and women's polls after week one.

The Warriors recently competed in the Biola Invitational on Saturday afternoon to kick off the season and got solid performances from Carson Bix (7th), Michael Yaskowitz (33rd) and Matt Aruda (34th) on the men's side while Deana Takaoka, Brianna Harmon and Savannah Sehenuk all had solid showings on the women's side.

The Warriors will return to action Friday at the SoCal Preview at Central Park in Santa Clarita, Calif.
