TORRANCE, Calif. --- Yanie Camarador led a dominant effort by El Camino College in a 13-2 South Coast Conference win over Cerritos on Wednesday afternoon at the ECC Aquatics Center.
Camarador scored the first two goals of the game and four overall while the Warriors defense held the Falcons to the lowest goal total by a Warriors opponent this season.
The Falcons did not find the back of the net until the final minute of the third quarter when the match was well in hand for ECC.
Savanna Kastigar added three goals and two assists on the day while Alexis Vasquez netted two goals on six shots. Carleigh Clark secured her fourth win of the season in the cage with five saves in three quarters of action.
As a team, the Warriors outshot Cerritos 36-18 including a 17-6 edge in the second half.
The Warriors again got off to a hot start, taking a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. They scored 12 unanswered goals before the Falcons finally got on the board with 43 seconds left in the third period.
With the win, the Warriors are one of three undefeated teams left in conference along with No. 1 Long Beach and Mt. San Antonio.
The Warriors will return to action on Oct. 16 at home for another conference tilt, this time against Pasadena.
