TORRANCE, Calif. – El Camino College played its first match of the season but had a tough go of it as the Warriors were shutout by Mount San Antonio, 23-0, in a South Coast Conference tilt Wednesday at the ECC Pool.
The Warriors (1-2, 1-2) could not muster any significant offense against the Mounties (6-1, 2-1), who won their sixth straight match and recorded their third shutout during that streak.
With the loss, the Warriors move to fifth place in the conference standings. They will venture outside of conference play for the first time this weekend as they head to the Mt. SAC Tournament beginning on Friday morning.
