Six Players Named All-Conference

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College had six players named to the 2024 All-South Coast Conference Team, it was announced Monday.
Aireon Scott, Perla Lopez, and Maddie Gloria were all named to the All-SCC First Team with Scheala Nielsen, Erica Griffiths and Zariah Honeycutt earning All-SCC Second Team nods.
Scott earned her second straight All-SCC First Team selection after playing in 22 matches this season. She was second on the team with 148 total kills and was tops on the team with a .263 attack percentage. Scott also led the team with 33 blocks while adding 21 service aces.
Lopez had a team-high 319 assists and averaged 4.31 assists per set. She also recorded 142 digs with 23 service aces on the season.
Gloria was the team's primary libero this year and led the team with 249 digs, averaging 3.89 digs per set. She also had 18 service aces on the year.
Nielsen led the Warriors with 172 kills this season and averaged a team-high 2.61 kills per set after playing in 21 matches this year. She also tallied 186 digs with a 2.82 average per set, the third-best mark on the team. She also added 13 blocks and 27 service aces.
Griffiths played in 22 matches this season and tallied 98 kills on the season. She also dished out 274 assists with a 3.81 average per set. She was second on the team with 223 digs and a 3.10 average per set while also leading the team with 37 service aces. She also added 10 blocks this season.
Honeycutt recorded 94 kills in 53 sets played this season and averaged 1.77 kills per set. She also added 97 digs and four blocks.
The Warriors finished the season with a 9-13 overall record and 4-4 mark in South Coast Conference play.
