Women’s Volleyball Falls to Pasadena in Five

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College suffered a 3-2 (25-21, 25-14, 24-26, 25-27, 15-6) loss to visiting Pasadena City on Friday night at the ECC Gym Complex.

The Warriors battled back from a 2-0 deficit to force a deciding fifth set but ran out of gas as the Lancers secured the win.

Aireon Scott finished the match with 14 kills and four blocks for the Warriors while Payton Garrison added 11 kills and a team high five blocks in the loss. Erica Griffiths dished out 22 assists and Perla Lopez added 18 helpers with Scheala Nielson recording a double-double with 10 kills and a team-best 22 digs.

For the Lancers, Biko Hollie hammered down 24 kills and Chayse Hoon added 20 kills to pace the team in the win. Kamea Vongfak dished out 41 assists to go along with 16 digs.

The Warriors will return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 30 with a road match at Rio Hondo.
