Warriors Drop Match to East Los Angeles in Four

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College suffered a 3-1 (17-25, 25-19, 25-17, 25-21) South Coast Conference loss to visiting East Los Angeles on Wednesday night at the ECC Gym Complex.

The Warriors were outhit .198 to .137 on the night while the Huskies hammered down a total of 56 kills to score the victory and overcome an early deficit.

Morgan Knight and Aireon Scott led the Warriors with 11 kills apiece, hitting at a .391 and .304 percentage respectively. Sophia Ortiz added seven kills and a match high 23 digs as the Warriors recorded 82 total digs on the night. Bridget Dorr had a double-double with 33 assists and 15 digs and Perla Lopez added 18 digs with Jacqueline Medina recording 11. Ryan D'Angelo had six kills and 10 digs.

The Warriors scored a win in the opening set as they outhit the Huskies .205 to .140 in the opening frame.

But it was not enough as the Huskies won the next three sets to complete the season sweep over ECC.

The Warriors will return to action on Friday night with a road match at L.A. City. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
