TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College suffered a 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-20) defeat to visiting Orange Coast on Wednesday evening at the ECC Gym Complex.
The Warriors (0-6) were led by Yasmin Watanabe, whoe recorded a team-high nine kills. Sophia Ortiz added six kills and 13 digs but the Warriors could not overcome 17 attack errors, 13 reception errors and five blocking errors against the Pirates (4-1).
Overall, the Pirates outhit the Warriors .299 to .092. The Pirates dominated the net with six team blocks (one solo, 10 assists).
The Warriors will hit the road for their next match on Friday night as they visit Cypress for a 6 p.m. first serve.
