Perryman and Juarez Lead Warriors Past Palomar in Four

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College scored a 3-1 (25-16, 25-18, 22-25, 25-17) non-conference win over Palomar on Tuesday night at the ECC Gym Complex.

The Warriors (9-10) had an outstanding day at the service line with 17 aces against the Comets (12-9) while Alex Perryman and Leafa Juarez carried the offense.

Perryman finished the night with 17 kills on 27 swings with just four errors while Juarez added 14 kills on 47 swings. Jayden Zabala dished out 43 assists to go along with 12 digs and Crystal Salgado led the defense with 17 digs.

For the Comets, Savanna Lewis led all players with 20 kills but she was the only player on the Comets with double digit kills on the night. Kenna Broach dished out 36 assists in the losing effort.

The Warriors will wrap up conference play on Wednesday night with a crucial matchup against Rio Hondo on the road with second place in the conference on the line. First serve is set for 6 p.m.

The Warriors will wrap up the regular season on Nov. 14 with a home match against Mt. San Jacinto at 5 p.m.
