LONG BEACH, Calif. - The El Camino College Warriors women's volleyball team defeated Long Beach City College on the road on Friday 3-1 (19-25, 25-20, 25-19, 25-11).
The Warriors improved to 8-3 in South Coast Conference play.
Alex Perryman (13 kills) and Leafa Juarez (15 kills/14 digs) led the Warriors over the Vikings. Mya Johnson also had a double-double with 10 kills and 12 digs.
The Warriors dropped the first set 25-19 despite hitting at their most efficient clip of the night at .382.
The Warriors were able to sweep the next three sets over the Vikings including a dominant 25-11 set in the fourth and final set of the match.
The Warriors host Palomar in a non-conference match next Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. However, the more important match is on the following day as they head to Rio Hondo for their final conference game. The Roadrunners are currently second in the conference with an 8-2 record and a game in hand over El Camino.
