NORWALK, Calif. – El Camino College began South Coast Conference, South Division action with a dominant 3-0 (25-8, 25-16, 25-17) victory at Cerritos College Wednesday night.
Phina Leilua led the team with 12 kills and a .333 attacking percentage while Meris Ewell chipped in with 11 kills and a .625 percentage for the Warriors (10-1, 1-0).
Caitlin Donatucci (18) and Keri Isara (17) dished out 35 of the team's 39 assists while setting the team to a .344 attacking percentage. Mikayla Clark led the team and posted a season high with 15 digs while adding six kills without an error.
The Warriors will hit the road for a non-conference contest at Bakersfield on Friday. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
