Leilua Named State Player of the Week
Sophomore Phina Leilua was named one of the California Community College Women's Volleyball Coaches' Association State Players of the Week, it was announced Monday.
Leilua earned the Southern California spot from the CCCWVCA while Nhean Marquez of Hartnell College earned the Northern California nod.

The outside hitter had an excellent week for ECC to help lead the team to a pair of victories in three matches played.
Leilua notched 50 kills in three matches including a career-high 23 in a win over MiraCosta on Wednesday. She averaged 4.17 kills per set and attacked at a .266 percentage for the week while adding a double-double against Canyons and 28 digs overall for the week. She also added six blocks and two service aces during the week.
The Warriors return to action Wednesday night at the ECC South Gym as they host Cuesta for a non-conference tilt. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
