Warriors Edged at Southwestern

CHULA VISTA, Calif. --- El Camino College suffered a 5-4 loss to Southwestern on Friday afternoon at the SWC Tennis Courts in Chula Vista, Calif.

The Warriors fell behind 2-1 after the doubles portion of the match, suffering losses on courts one and two. But the team of Kathy Magallanes and Elena Garcia-Morales salvaged a point with an 8-0 victory on court three as the teams headed to singles action.

Robyn Wong, Maya Peck and Magallanes each recorded wins for the Warriors but the team came up one victory short. The singles action was quite competitive as four of the six matches went three sets.

The Warriors will return to action on Thursday, Feb. 27 at Mount San Antonio.
