Women’s Tennis Drops Conference Opener at Desert

PALM DESERT, Calif. --- El Camino College dropped its first South Coast Conference match of the season; a 5-4 decision at College of the Desert.

The Warriors led the match after doubles action as the team recorded wins on the No. 2 and No. 3 courts. Maya Peck and Robyn Wong scored an 8-6 win on court two with Elena Garcia-Morales and Kathy Magallanes securing an 8-2 win on court three.

But the Warriors could not keep the momentum going in singles action as they dropped four of the six matches to suffer the loss in the match. Peck and Magallanes were the only players to record a win in singles on courts four and five respectively.
