Ito and Giese Finish Second at Conference Championships

Lina Ito and Maddie Giese's run at the South Coast Conference Championships came up just short of the top as the El Camino College duo finished second after falling in the finals on Saturday morning.

Ito and Giese suffered an 8-1 loss to the team of Lisa Suzuki and Kseniia Prokopchuk of Cerritos in the finals. The Warriors top doubles team finished the season 10-4 during the regular year and scored two wins at the conference championships this week.

Both players qualified for the CCCAA State Championships in Ojai, Calif. on April 27 in both the singles and doubles competitions.
