TORRANCE, Calif. -- Sophomore Catherine Curwood-Wagner netted her first career multi-goal performance as El Camino College blanked San Bernardino Valley 2-0 on Tuesday afternoon at the ECC Soccer Field.

Curwood-Wagner found the back of the net once in each half, both off assists from freshman Julia Camacho. Curwood-Wagner now has three goals in seven matches this season, matching her goal total from her freshman season where she played in 20 matches.

Jordan Stemberga recorded three saves and recorded her second win and first career shutout in net.

The Warriors opened the scoring in the 21st minute as Sophia Hudson launched a long ball from midfield to a running Camacho up the right side. The freshman then took two dribbles and sent a low cross to the center of the box where a charging Curwood-Wagner blasted a one-time into the back of the net for a 1-0 Warriors lead.

In the second half, Camacho diced through the defense up to the right side of the 18-yard box where she lifted a cross to a charging Curwood-Wagner at the near corner of the six-yard box. Curwood-Wagner jumped and deflected the ball with her right foot into the far side of the net for a 2-0 lead and the Warriors never looked back.

The Warriors will head to Mt. San Jacinto for their last non-conference match of the season on Oct. 1 before opening South Coast Conference play on Oct. 8 at Compton.
