Clark Highlights Women’s Soccer All-Conference Selections

2022 All-South Coast Conference Teams

TORRANCE, Calif. --- Sophomore Karlee Clark was named the South Coast Conference, South Division Goalkeeper of the Year for the second straight season as the All-SCC Teams were announced on Thursday.

Clark highlighted a total of seven selections to the 2022 All-SCC South Division squad. The Warriors had three players selected to the first team to go along with three selections for the second team.

Clark led the conference in total minutes played with 1,728 as she recorded 80 total saves and posted a 1.35 goals against average on the season. Clark posted six shutouts on the year and currently has a 12-6-3 overall record in net for the Warriors.

The Warriors had three of their sophomores selected to the All-SCC First Team with Angelica Taylor and Gabrielle De La Cruz each earning their second straight selection to the first team. Alexis Perez-Fonseca earned her first selection to the top squad after earning a second-team selection last season as a freshman.

Taylor led the Warriors in scoring with 33 points as she was second on the team with 11 goals and led the way on the squad with 11 assists despite missing nearly a month with a leg injury during the season.

De La Cruz was the anchor of the Warriors' defense as she played and started in 18 of the team's 21 matches during the regular season. She scored four goals and added two assists while holding down the back line for the Warriors.

Perez-Fonseca was another member of the Warriors back line and one of just two players on the team to play and start in all 21 matches for the team this season. She scored one goal and was second on the team with eight assists.

While the Warriors had a lot of experience make the first team, the future looks bright as three freshmen made the second team.

Tana Wynia grabbed a spot on the second team as she played in all 21 matches for ECC and made 20 starts during the year. She tallied one goal and three assists while being a solid staple of the Warriors defense.

Allison Sibley led the Warriors with 13 goals during the regular season in her first year at ECC. She added four assists and was second on the team with 30 total points while playing in 19 matches with 12 starts, which all came in the last 14 games of the year.

Natalie Rodriguez rounded out the Warriors' selections as she was tied for third on the team with four goals scored. She played in all 21 matches during the season, making 14 starts.
