TORRANCE, Calif. --- For the third time this season, El Camino College came out victorious against Pasadena, this time with a 3-0 decision in the first round of the South Coast Conference Tournament Friday afternoon at the ECC Soccer Field.

Angelica Taylor scored twice and assisted on the final Warriors (12-5-2, 5-3-1) goal and Karlee Clark made four saves in the win over the Lancers (7-10-3, 3-4-2).

The Warriors advance to face No. 2 seed Long Beach on Tuesday at LBCC.

Friday's win was the Warriors' third over the Lancers after scoring a 5-1 win on the road in a non-conference game on Sept. 27 and then a 3-0 shutout in conference play at ECC on Oct. 18.

Taylor reached double digits in goals scored on the season with her two tallies on Friday, giving her 21 goals in her Warriors' career. Her assist was her ninth helper of the season and 15th overall in her two-year stint at ECC with two more games to go before postseason play.

Taylor opened the scoring in the 15th minute after a scrum in front of Lancers' keeper Christina Echeverrie resulted in the ball coming out to the spot with no player in sight. Taylor was the first to reach it and fired a shot that Echeverrie was able to knock back, but unfortunately it was returned directly to Taylor who deposited the rebound into the net for a 1-0 lead.

In the 53rd minute, the Warriors were awarded a penalty kick and Taylor beat Echeverrie to the right side for a 2-0 lead and then Julia Ausland's fourth goal of the season came on a lovely give-and-go with Taylor to cap the scoring and secure the win for the Warriors.

The Warriors and Vikings played on Oct. 11 at ECC where LBCC blanked the Warriors 3-0. The Vikings scored twice in the first 17 minutes and Taylor exited the game for the Warriors in the 14th minute with a leg injury that would sideline her for a couple of weeks.
