Warriors Dominate LA Valley At Home

TORRANCE, Calif. - The Warriors dominated from start to finish on Tuesday evening inside Murdock Stadium against the LA Valley Monarchs in a 3-0 victory

The Warriors (2-4) were playing against an LA Valley (2-4-1) side with only eleven dressed players and completely took control of the game from the very beginning.  The Warriors outshot the Monarchs 25-to-2 with 13 shots on goal.  The Monarchs keeper Kristen Lum made 10 saves for the game while the Warriors keeper' Karlee Clark and McKenna Morey coasted to an easy shut out.

Sierra Rangel, Marcela Martinez, and Haley Doyle each scored their first goal of the season in the game.  Sierra Rangel opened the scoring in the 18th minute after a header on a corner kick from Alexis Perez-Fonseca.

The Warriors added two more goals in the second half.  Marcela Martinez scored in the 52nd minute after pouncing on a rebounded shot from Sierra RangelHaley Doyle capped off the scoring in the 69th minute

The Warriors will play their third home game this week on Friday against Golden West College back on the ECC Soccer Field.  Kick-off is set for 1:00 PM.
