TORRANCE, Calif. - Nalleli Mendoza scored her 7th goal of the season but it was not enough for the Warriors against Long Beach on Friday afternoon.

The Warriors (4-12, 2-3) took the lead in the 23rd minute and scored their first goal in five games.  However, the Vikings (8-7-1, 4-1) responded right away in the 24th minute off the restart to even the game at 1-1 before the half.

The Viking scored two twice in the span of six minutes in the second half.  They were given a penalty kick in the 50th minute and in the 56th minute, Brittany Caudillo scored on a 3v2 counterattack for the Vikings.

Joelle Niimi started in goal for the Warriors.  Niimi made 8 saves including two double-saves twice.  Rosemary Montalvo played the last 34 minutes of the game in net for the Warriors.

The Warriors will look to get a positive result against LA Harbor next Tuesday, October 30th.  The Warriors beat LA Harbor at home in September. Kick-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
