Mendoza Nets Goal in Loss to MiraCosta

OCEANSIDE, Calif. - The Warriors fell on the road at MiraCosta College 2-1 on a rescheduled game on Tuesday afternoon.

The Warriors (4-7) once again conceded early goals and had to play from behind in the game.  Goals from Jazmin Tua and Betsabe Ramirez put the Spartans (4-7-1) ahead early in the first half.

Nalleli Mendoza scored her team leading 6th goal for the Warriors to cut the Spartan lead in half before halftime.  However, they would not be able to find a second goal for the equalizer.

Joelle Niimi started in net for the Warriors and was credited with making 9 saves.

The Warriors now head to East Los Angeles College for a non-conference tilt on Friday afternoon.  Kick-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM.
