TORRANCE, Calif. - Robin Riggs scored a goal in each half to lead the Warriors to a 2-1 result over LA Harbor on Friday afternoon at the ECC Soccer Field.
El Camino (3-4, 1-1) picked up their third win of the month and first win in conference play in their victory over LA Harbor (3-4-3, 0-2).
Robin Riggs scored her first goal in the 41st minute. She stole a ball from an LA Harbor defender than her shot was too powerful for the goalkeeper to handle and the ball trickled into the back of the net.
Riggs scored her second goal of the game in the 79th minute. Elizabeth Velasquez sent in a cross from the right side that Riggs re-directed and one-timed the shot into the right corner of the net.
LA Harbor got one goal back in the 86th minute after Yarellie Galindo launched a ball from 35 yards out that looped over Joelle Niimi's hands.
Joelle Niimi picked up her first win of the season. She was credited with 4 saves.
El Camino College heads to Compton College on Tuesday, October 2nd for their next game. Kick-off is set for 2:00 PM
