Warriors Finish Season With Strong 4-1 Win Over the Seahawks

WILMINGTON, CALIF - Three late goals propelled the Warriors to a 4-1 victory over LA Harbor on Friday afternoon for its final game of the season.

El Camino College (11-9-1, 5-3) matched their October 10th home effort against LA Harbor (2-17-1, 2-6) by getting another 4-1 result against the Seahawks.  

The Warriors struck first in the 22nd minute to open the game.  The Seahawks equalized four minutes into the second half to make it a 1-1 game.  The Warriors would then respond with three unanswered goals in the last fifteen minutes of play to bury the game for good.

Maddy Simones scored two goals to pick up her 11th and 12th goal of the season.

Taylor Herm scored her third goal of the season and also picked up an assist.

Chandel Buelna scored her second goal of the year, after netting her first goal of the year in the Warrior's first game vs Orange Coast College.  

Carolyn Medina and Monica Bernardino each picked up an assist in the game.  

Isabel Rojas started in goal and tallied three saves on the afternoon.  

El Camino College had a fantastic final six weeks to finish their season.  It wasn't enough to propel them into playoffs, but the Warriors battled hard to finish the season on a positive note. The Warriors finished the season going 9-3 after starting the season 2-6-1 to finish with an overall record of 11-9-1.
