Warriors Dominate in 5-0 Rout of Compton College

There were five unique goalscorers for El Camino College (4-6-1, 1-2-0) in a 5-0 conference victory over Compton College (2-9-0, 0-4) on Friday evening at Tay Brown stadium in Compton, Calif.

The Warrior offense dominated the Tartars with 23 shots compared to Compton's 5 shots.  El Camino had 15 shots on goal and the Compton goalkeeper was credited with 10 saves for the game.

Maddy Simones opened the scoring first for the Warriors in the second minute of play via an assist from Kathryn WilsonMonica Bernardino scored her second goal of the week in the 14th minute to make it 2-0.   ECC would add a third goal in the 38th minute from a Tartar own goal.

In the second half, the Warriors struck early in the 54th minute when Christina Johnson scored her first goal of the season.  Princess Butler would cap off the scoring for the Warriors when she scored the team' 5th goal and her first of the season in the 73rd minute.

Isabel Rojas picked up her fourth win of the season and her third clean sheet of the campaign.  She was credited with four saves in the first half.  Rojas also played part of the second half in the field as a forward while Kelly Gallagher took control of the net. 

El Camino will look to continue expand upon their two-game winning streak with a home contest on Tuesday, October 10th vs LA Harbor in a SCC matchup.  Kick-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM at Murdock Stadium.
