Rough First Half Proves Costly for Warriors against Grossmont

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College had a rough start and could not recover in a 73-43 non-conference loss to visiting Grossmont on Friday evening at the ECC Gym Complex.
The Warriors scored just nine points in the first two quarters and committed 19 turnovers and it was too much to overcome despite a solid showing in the second half.
Sophomore Bella Blum had a solid debut for the Warriors as she led all scorers with 19 points on 6-for-12 shooting including 2-for-4 from beyond the arc. She also grabbed nine rebounds and recorded four steals in the loss.
For the Griffins, Charlie Dagnino led the way with 18 points while Kyla Palpallatoc added 14 with a team high seven rebounds.
The Warriors will return to action on Friday, Nov. 8 as they host Fullerton for another home non-conference game. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
