TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College scored a 56-22 South Coast Conference victory over visiting L.A. Southwest on Monday evening at the ECC Gym Complex.
The Warriors (9-13, 3-4) forced 33 turnovers on the night and got 18 points from Brandy Castaneda to score the win.
The Cougars (0-9, 0-4) could not muster double digits in any quarter and shot just 25.6 percent from the field.
Jaden Sanderson added 12 points for the Warriors with Gialana Orocio scoring eight points and dishing out a team-high eight assists. The Warriors finished with 21 assists and 23 made baskets. They also recorded 19 steals with Castaneda leading the way with seven.
The Warriors will return to action on Wednesday night when they host Cerritos, the top team in the South Coast Conference's South Division. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
