TORRANCE, Calif. – El Camino College got back on the winning track Wednesday night with a 46-32 win over visiting Chaffey at the ECC Gym Complex.
The Warriors (5-9) held the visiting Panthers (7-10) to just 25.5 percent shooting from the field and 9.1 percent from 3-point range en route to the victory.
Ashley Nguyen led all scorers with 14 points and added three steals with four rebounds in the victory. Jesse Hoffsmith scored 10 points on 4-for-6 shooting. Taylor Hart grabbed seven rebounds to lead the team.
For the Panthers, Sydnee Torrence led the way with 11 points and Harjinder Takher added eight in the loss.
The Warriors will return to action on Friday with a road game against East Los Angeles. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
