Warriors Continue to Dominate Conference, Sweep LA Southwest 87-44

LOS ANGELES - Women's Basketball continues conference unbeaten, sweeping Los Angeles Southwest in a stunning 87-44 victory. Sophomore forward Elise Allison was one of five to earn points in the double digits for the Warriors.

"We got off to a good start," commented Coach Steve Shaw. "We played good defense and did what we needed to do."

Allison began the Warriors' offensive efforts as the first to score for the visitors by nailing a three less than two minutes into the match. Allison was a rebound shy from earning a double-double with nine and also registered three steals. Sophomore guard Meghan Peneueta recorded 16 points while freshman forward Kayla Bibb was right behind her with 15. Freshman center Amiete Nyingifa went with 14 points and eight rebounds for the Warriors and sophomore forward Jillian Thebodeau registered 13.

The win puts the Warriors 6-0 in conference as they sit atop undefeated and an overall record of 12-9. The Warriors are back home on Wednesday night for their first conference matchup against Long Beach City College. Long Beach is on a four-game win streak and stands at 4-2 in conference.
