Badminton Defeats East Los Angeles on Friday
MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. --- El Camino College recorded a 13-8 South Coast Conference victory over East Los Angeles on Friday afternoon at the Manhattan Beach Badminton Club.
The Warriors improved to 2-3 overall on the season after getting flawless performances from their top two players.
For the second straight week, Anya Gore was perfect on the day, going 4-0. She won both her singles matches decisively and also recorded two wins in doubles action.
Her doubles partner Montila Winyaworapon followed Gore's lead as the sophomore also went 4-0 on the day, winning both of her singles matches while going unbeaten playing alongside Gore.
The Warriors will begin the second round of conference action on Wednesday afternoon when they travel to Pasadena for a 12:30 p.m. start.
