Track and Field Competes at Mount San Antonio Relays

WALNUT, Calif. --- El Camino College headed to the Mount San Antonio College Relays on Saturday for a full day of stacked competition as many of the state's top teams made the trek to Hilmer Lodge Stadium for one of the premier events of the track season.

The Warriors performances were highlighted by Ami Jacobson and Sequoia Gonzales on the women's side while Anthony Taylor continued his outstanding season on the men's side.

Jacobson won the 5,000m with a new personal best time of 17:44.47. It is currently ranked as the third best time in the state and was also the sixth best mark in ECC history.

Gonzales crossed the finish line right behind her teammate, finishing in 17:47.66 for the fourth best time in the state this season and also a personal record. The mark also ranks seventh in ECC history.

On the men's side, Taylor once again asserted his dominance in the 110 high hurdles with another victory. He finished the race in 14.35 which is the new best mark in the entire state. He followed that with a victory in the 400 hurdles with a time of 53.49, a mark that currently ranks No. 2 in the state.
