Track and Field Competes at Orange Coast Invite

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College competed at the OCC Invite this past weekend and had a number of wins on both the men's and women's side.

For the men, the Warriors recorded victories in the 200 meters, 400 meters, 110-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles while the women recorded wins in the 400 meters and the 4x400 meter relay.

In the 200m, Jaylen Allen edged out the victory with a time of 22.59, just beating out Southwestern's Trevor Plott. Xerxes Reamer posted an eighth place finish for ECC with a time of 23.42.

Matthew Irvine scored the win for the men in the 400m, finishing with a time of 50.51. Teammate Alexander Claessens finished in third with a time of 52.41.

Dominic Britton secured a victory in the 110H for ECC with a time of 15.63, besting Cuyamaca's Dylan Coleman by nearly a half second.

Kyvontei Campell took the 400H as the only competitor in the event. He finished with a time of 59.70.

On the women's side, Sierra Stokes won the 400m with a time of 1:01.68, beating Whitney Johnson of Orange Coast by almost four seconds.

Stokes also ran the anchor leg on the 4x400m relay team that included Rania Gomaa, Yukina Hamachi and Julia Ausland. They finished the race in 4:18.53.
