Swimming Splits Dual Meet Against Cerritos

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College split its South Coast Conference dual meet against visiting Cerritos on Friday morning at the ECC Aquatics Center.
On the women's side, the Warriors scored a 137-114 win over the Falcons while the men suffered a 144-125 loss.
Some of the highlights of the morning included Alex Yousefi improving on his 50-yard backstroke time during the men's victory in the 200-yard medley relay. Yousefi posted a time of 26.64, which is currently No. 8 on the ECC All-Time Performers list.
On the women's side, Mia Park continued to set records as she broke the ECC Aquatics Center pool record in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:48.75) by almost a full minute. She also set the pool record in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:12.86, nearly nine seconds better than the old mark. She also improved on her own pool record in the 200 IM, finishing with a time of 2:12.64.
