Jaouhar Commits to College of Idaho

El Camino College swimmer Aziz Jaouhar has committed to continue his academic and athletic career at the College of Idaho.
Jaouhar was a member of the Warriors men's swim team for two years and was one of the most decorated swimmers to hit the ECC pool.
He primarily swam in the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke and the 500-yard freestyle in his time with the Warriors.
Jaouhar holds the ECC School record in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 25.15 and made his mark in his three main events. He ranks third in ECC history all-time in the 100 backstroke (52.76), 200 backstroke (1:56.05) and 500 freestyle (4:39.77).
Overall, Jaouhar holds career marks in the ECC Top-15 all-time in 12 events.
As a freshman, Jaouhar placed second in his three main events at the South Coast Conference Championships. He finished ninth in state in the 500 freestyle and 100 backstroke to go with a 14th place finish in the 200 backstroke.
This season, the sophomore claimed the SCC title in the 500 freestyle to go with a runner-up finish in the 200 backstroke and third-place finish in the 100 backstroke.
Jaouhar's career-best in the 500 freestyle is already faster than the College of Idaho's school record for the event.
The Yotes finished 11th overall in the NAIA Championships during the 2018-19 season.
