Swimming Hosts Lone Dual Meet of Season

TORRANCE, Calif. – El Camino College hosted its first and only home dual meet of the season Friday and had some solid showings as Long Beach and East Los Angeles visited the ECC Pool.

In head coach Corey Stanbury's final home meet of his long career, the Warriors men prevailed over the Vikings, 167-68. Meanwhile, the women were edged by Long Beach 151-131 with East Los Angeles finishing third.

Ida Due continued her incredible season as she set a new school and pool record in the women's 1000 freestyle, posting a time of 10:50.98. On the men's side, Aziz Jaouhar won the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:21.45, which is now No. 13 all-time in ECC history.

The Warriors return to action Friday afternoon at L.A. Trade Tech with a dual meet against Chaffey and the host Beavers.
