Ramirez Dominates at Long Beach

LONG BEACH, Calif. --- Sophomore Lexi Ramirez tossed a complete-game shutout as the Warriors recorded a 3-0 South Coast Conference victory on the road at Long Beach City on Friday afternoon.
The Warriors ace was outstanding in the circle as she held the Vikings' potent offense to just three hits on the day. She walked two and struck out five en route to her 13th win of the season in the circle.
Ramirez allowed just one runner to reach third base on the day as she logged her 13th complete game of the season and sixth shutout of the year.
Meanwhile, Cheyenne Navarro provided Ramirez all the offense she would need with a solo home run in the first inning. The Warriors would add two more insurance runs in the seventh with RBI singles from Savanna Kastigar and Cami Garcia. Anahi Pintado also went 2-for-3, the only player on either side to record a multi-hit game.
The Warriors will wrap up the week on Saturday with a non-conference game against Fullerton at the ECC Softball Field.
