Warriors Shutout East Los Angeles for Third Straight Win

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College scored a 6-0 South Coast Conference win over East Los Angeles on Friday afternoon at the ECC Softball Field.
It was the team's third straight win and second straight shutout of the week. Lexi Ramirez picked up her 11th win of the season in the circle as she struck out eight batters and scattered three hits. She flirted with a second no-hitter in as many days until that was broken up in the fifth inning when Rya Rivas led off the frame with a single up the middle.
Offensively, the Warriors were led by the top of the lineup as Savanna Kastigar, Emma Garcia and Cheyenne Navarro combined to go 8-for-11 with five runs scored and three RBIs. Emily Gamboa also went 2-for-3 with a double and Ramirez helped her own cause as she went 1-for-3 with a two-run single.
The Warriors will return to action on Tuesday, March 11 as they host L.A. Harbor for another SCC matchup. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
