Garcia, Martin Earn All-Region Honors

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --- Freshman Emma Garcia and sophomore Malia Martin were named to the 3CFCA 2024 All-Southern Califronia Team at the conclusion of the regular season.

The Warriors' duo were included in the 15 players selected to the All-SoCal team including five players from the South Coast Conference.

Garcia had a stellar freshman campaign for the Warriors as she played and started in all 45 games and led the team with a .425 batting average. She also led the team with 57 hits and 23 stolen bases along with a .500 on-base percentage. In her first season with the Warriors, Garcia scored 34 runs with seven doubles, one triple and one home run.

Martin wrapped her Warriors career with an excellent sophomore season, placing second on the team with 52 hits and a .366 batting average. She led the Warriors with 11 doubles and 36 RBI while stealing 16 bases and scoring 32 runs. She played and started in all 45 games for the Warriors and finished her career with 88 total game played in two seasons.

The Warriors finished the 2024 season with a 31-14 overall record, the most wins by the program since 2019 when they won 37 games. The team advanced to the 3C2A SoCal Super Regionals for the fourth time since 2015 when current head coach Jessica Rapoza took over the program. Rapoza also logged her 250th career win at ECC this season, the most wins by a Warriors' coach ever and she ended the season with 397 career victories overall in her 13-year career as a head coach.
