TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College recorded an important 5-4 South Coast Conference victory over visiting Cerritos on Thursday afternoon at the ECC Softball Field.

The Warriors and Falcons entered Thursday's game tied for third place in the South Coast Conference. With the win, the Warriors are now one game up on Cerritos in the standings. The Warriors also clinched the tiebreaker over the Falcons by winning the season series on Thursday as ECC downed Cerritos 6-0 on March 9. The teams will meet one last time on April 18 at ECC.

On Thursday, the Warriors got a complete game from starter Madilyn Radeke who picked up her seventh win of the year in the circle. She allowed four runs, three earned on nine hits. She walked two and struck out two.

Offensively the Warriors used some great baserunning and situational hitting to score the win. Cheyenne Navarro, Radeke and Jacqueline Ordonez all recorded a stolen base and subsequently two of them would come around to score including Ordonez with the game-winning run in the fifth inning.

Julianna Vasquez had two doubles on the day while Lilly Lewis was 1-for-3 and drove in Ordonez with a single in the fifth inning.

The Warriors will return to action on Friday afternoon with a road contest at L.A. Harbor. First pitch is set for 1 p.m
