Warriors Win Fourth Straight with Rout of Pasadena

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College recorded a dominant 13-2 South Coast Conference victory over Pasadena in five innings on Thursday afternoon at the ECC Softball Field.
The Warriors actually trailed 1-0 early but then scored 13 times in two innings to run off their fourth consecutive win in conference.
Malia Martin was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI while Cheyenne Navarro was 2-for-4 with a triple, a run scored and an RBI. Overall, eight different Warriors recorded a hit and six recorded an RBI in the victory.
Gabriela Ortega picked up her third win of the season in the circle, going all five innings and allowing two unearned runs on four hits and three walks. She struck out three.
The Lancers had issues fielding the ball all day as they committed six errors including three in the Warriors' eight-run fourth inning that essentially put the game away.
Of the 13 runs surrendered by the Lancers, only one of them was earned.
The Warriors will look to keep their winning streak going on Friday afternoon with a crucial conference matchup at Long Beach with first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m.
