TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College scored a run in three straight innings to score a 3-2 South Coast Conference victory over visiting Compton on Tuesday afternoon at the ECC Softball Field.

The Warriors got two hits and the game-winning RBI from Lilly Lewis with five other players tallying a hit to score the victory over the Tartars.

Emma Figueroa tossed a complete game to score the win for the Warriors in the circle. She allowed two runs, one earned, on eight hits and two walks with three strikeouts.

Destiny Vega took the loss for Compton as she tossed a complete game, going six innings and allowing three runs, one earned, on seven hits with a walk and two strikeouts.

The Tartars got on the board first as they got some clutch hitting in the first inning from Vega, who recorded an RBI single with a runner on second and two outs in the opening frame to give herself a 1-0 lead before having to make a pitch. Vega would retire the first nine Warriors she faced and then got some extra help by way of a Warriors error in the top of the fourth, allowing a run to score and give Compton a 2-0 lead.

But Cheyenne Navarro led off the fourth with a double to right and then came all the way around to score on an error by Tartars right-fielder Evelyn Martin del Campo.

In the fifth, the Warriors tied things up with a sacrifice fly from Ashley Salas to score Madilyn Radeke. The team would take the lead for good in the sixth as Lewis singled to short with runners on first and second. Pinch runner Caitlin Michaels would score all the way from second on the play to put ECC up 3-2 and Figueroa did the rest, retiring the Tartars in the seventh to secure the win.

The Warriors will be back home on Thursday when they host Pasadena at 3 p.m.
