Inzunza Named to All-Region Team

RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- El Camino College freshman Kayla Inzunza was named to the California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region Team, it was announced Thursday.

Inzunza was one of 15 players named to the All-Southern California team. She was one of two players from the South Coast Conference selected All-SoCal.

Inzunza was the offensive leader for the Warriors in 2022. She led the team in batting average (.415), hits (62), doubles (17), triples (5) and RBI (30).

The Warriors' freshman also tied for the team lead with two home runs and struck out just five times in 147 at-bats, the fewest amount of any Warriors player with at least 100 at-bats on the season. She was also second on the team with 22 stolen bases in 26 attempts.

She was named to the All-SCC First Team after playing in all but one game for the Warriors. She recorded five hits against Antelope Valley on Feb. 18 and went 4-for-4 with two doubles, three runs scored and two stolen bases in an 11-3 win over Pasadena on April 5.
