Warriors Down L.A. Harbor for Second Straight Game

TORRANCE, Calif. – El Camino College jumped out to a big lead early and never looked back as they scored an 8-0 South Coast Conference victory over L.A. Harbor in five innings on Thursday afternoon at the ECC Softball Field.

The Warriors scored five times in the first inning and cruised from there as Warriors pitchers allowed just one hit and one walk on the day.

Leesa Parral was the highlight offensively as she went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Kayla Inzunza also went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two runs scored and one RBI.

In the circle, Liz Cortez started and went two innings, surrendering no hits and recording one strikeout. Noemi Sandoval, Destiny Ostorga and Genise Chavez all saw action in the circle as the four Warriors hurlers combined to allow just one hit and one walk with two strikeouts.

The Warriors will return to action on Saturday as they will play games against College of the Canyons and hosts Cypress. The first game for ECC is slated for a 1 p.m. start.
