Robinson, Lewis Lead Warriors Past L.A. Harbor for Twelfth Straight Win

TORRANCE, Calif. – Kassidy Robinson and Diamond Lewis were perfect at the plate and Clarissa Chiquete allowed just two hits in the circle as El Camino College defeated L.A. Harbor, 8-0, in five innings Thursday afternoon at the ECC Softball Field.
Robinson and Lewis each went 3-for-3 with Robinson hitting the game-clinching two-run homer in the fifth inning. Lewis had a double and a triple on the day with two runs scored and two RBI. Seven of the nine Warriors starters recorded a hit on the day and Chiquete allowed just two hits in five innings of work, picking up her 14th win of the season.
The win gave the Warriors their 12th straight victory and 22nd in the last 23 games. They have now recorded run-rule victories eight times during the current winning streak.
The Warriors will face a big test Saturday as they travel to Palomar, a team that scored a 2-0 victory over the Warriors at the ECC Softball Field on Feb. 3, the fourth game of the season. First pitch is set for noon.
