Lewis Named Player of the Week

El Camino College third baseman Diamond Lewis was named the California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association Player of the Week, it was announced Wednesday.
Lewis claimed the award for week three of the 2018 season after helping lead the Warriors to a perfect 4-0 week. She went 8-for-14 (.571) at the plate with three doubles, one home run, eight RBI and six runs scored.
The freshman from Hamilton High School tallied three multi-hit and multi-RBI games during the week and extended her hitting streak to 16 games to start the year. The Warriors opened conference action with two wins and then swept a non-conference doubleheader on Saturday for a perfect week.
The Warriors wrap up this week with two home games beginning Thursday afternoon against Rio Hondo.
