Men’s Water Polo Splits the Day at Conference Tournament

WALNUT, Calif. --- El Camino College split its two matches at the South Coast Conference Tournament on Friday at the Mt. SAC Aquatics Center.

WARRIORS 19, CHAFFEY 7

The Warriors dominated their first-round opponents, outscoring the Panthers 12-3 in the first half alone. Marc Bugarin led the offensive charge with four goals while Brayden Sanchez added three goals in the victory while Heitor Trefilio and Max Hale each dished out four assists.

Sam Adams, Vios Lopez and Markus Leon all played in the cage and combined for six saves in the victory.

CERRITOS 15, WARRIORS 10

The Warriors trailed by just two goals going into halftime but the Falcons found the net seven times in the third period to gain separation and go on to victory.

Max Hale scored three goals with two assists while Bugarin and Trefilio added two goals apiece on offense while Vios Lopez made three saves in the cage.

The Warriors will now face Mount San Antonio on Saturday in the third-place match.
