Men’s Water Polo Splits Matches at Santa Monica Mini

SANTA MONICA, Calif. --- El Camino College split two matches at the Santa Monica Mini Tournament on Friday at the Santa Monica College Aquatics Center.

PALOMAR 13, EL CAMINO COLLEGE 10

The Warriors hung tight with the Comets throughout the match but the third quarter proved to be the difference as the Comets held ECC to just one goal in the period.

Robbie Josic and Heitor Trefilio each scored two goals to lead the team with six other players recording a goal. Trefilio also led the team with two assists and Sam Adams took the loss after making two saves in two quarters of play. Vios Lopez added one save in two quarters of action.

EL CAMINO COLLEGE 14, LAS POSITAS 13

Scott Fujiwara and Max Hale provided the offense, scoring five goals apiece as the Warriors edged Las Positas in the final game of the day for ECC.

Robbie Josic added three goals and Cooper Josic scored once to round out the scoring while Brayden Sanchez led the team with four assists in the match.

Adams, Lopez and Markus Leon all played in net and combined to make nine saves in the win.

The Warriors will return home on Wednesday afternoon to resume South Coast Conference play against Chaffey at the ECC Aquatics Center.
